This month we don’t have a full-fledged update for you since we are literally traveling across the country. (I’m writing as Stacy Leigh is driving between Flagstaff and Phoenix, Arizona.)
Nevertheless, I wanted to take a moment to tell you that Shepherds Academy students will be returning to campus for a new school year on October 10.
We will have about 30 total students. Ten are students returning for their second and final year while we have invited 20 students to start their journey.
Many of these new students will need sponsorship for the coming year. Due to rising costs, sponsorships this year have risen to $40/month or $480/year.
Whether sponsoring a student for the first time or continuing a previous sponsorship, you can get started either by giving a one-time gift of $480 or setting up a recurring gift of $40/month to the Pastor Training Fund at gospellife.org/give
If you sponsor a student, we will send you a profile of your student in November so you can pray for him by name.
In other news…
We continue telling about what God is doing across the country. We have shared before that our goal for this furlough is to raise an additional $5,000 in monthly support. These monthly gifts are the foundation of everything else we do. They help us pay salaries and utilities, maintain buildings and vehicles, and more.
Currently, we have raised 10% of this goal. We want to say a big thank you to 3 churches that have recently become monthly sponsors: Edgewood Baptist, FBC Fredonia, and FBC Henderson.
Pray for us as we visit several new churches over the next couple of months, and as always, we hope to see some of you out there!
