Yesterday, Michael returned to Mozambique, crossing the Shire River by canoe. Shepherds Academy student Steward Thom traveled with him as they encouraged the churches there and taught them to share the gospel.
Yesterday, Michael went on a long journey into Mozambique to meet with 2 churches east of Malawi. Mozambique forced the closure of churches during the pandemic, so believers there are eager to gather together for worship.
Our clinic team has been serving this week in the Lower Shire. Pray for them as they work hard to meet temporal and eternal needs!
Pastor Dallas has started teaching Old Testament 2 to the pastors in Zomba. Pray for them as they learn fro God’s word this week.
Pastor Loki (left) from Chapananga has planted a second church in a nearby village and is discipling the man on the right, in hopes that he will become the pastor of the new church. This is 2 Timothy 2:2 in action. #greatcommission #makedisciples #missions #missionarywork #pastortraining
Dallas, Christian, Isaac, and Khama (a translator-in-training) have made it to the Lower Shire Valley. 73 pastors have gathered with Michael at our LS campus to study OT 2!
Pastor Dallas and Christian visited the saints in the Lake Chirwa district today with Pastor Donald. Dallas preached a powerful sermon from Hebrews 4. Tomorrow morning, they begin teaching pastors at our Lower Shire campus.
Pastor Dallas and Christian from Burton Memorial Baptist are taking off, on their way to Malawi to teach pastors. Pray for a smooth trip and for the pastor training that will begin on Monday!
Today, Isaac, Michael, and Patrick held application testing and interviews in Ngabu and Nsanje for young men desiring to study at Shepherds Academy. Pray for the team as they prayerfully choose those who will begin their studies in October.
While this picture isn’t great quality, what it signifies is wonderful. It comes to us from Joseph Wanderson, a graduate from the first class of Shepherds Academy. Joseph moved far into Mozambique to find work. Then he planted a church in his new home. In the next year, we will be sending someone to visit…
